Keyword: Primate

The largest of creatures hold for us the greatest fascination. Upon fulfillment of this curiosity one realizes how docile and, quite frankly, boring they can be. Compare the chimpanzee and the gorilla for example. The later is enormous and strong, yet rather lifeless and statuesque. The chimp on the other hand is more active and expressive. For longer periods of entertainment one would prefer to watch these more human-like creatures. The division of my time spent with each last week reflects this view.

    Rainbow Springs in Dunnellon has packs of wild monkeys. You can canoe around and see them. I especially like the 2nd, 3rd, and last pictures…reveals the close link we share with these creatures. Oh the humanity.
