These were shot across the street from the previous two images on the same day. Some of the buildings in downtown Tampa are just shells of old architecture, the interiors having been renovated into modern office space and condos. If you can find an original brick facade you can probably find boarded up windows often painted the same color as the wall to erase them as in the photograph below. The photograph above was interesting to me because of the contrast between the old red bricks and the brightly painted doors. It illustrates this conversion in Tampa from old to new that we are seeing throughout downtown. The stairs lead the eye and frame the doors so to speak.

As previously stated, I am partial to black and white. On the other hand, there are those photographs in which color itself is the subject. In my view these color photographs are some of the best images I’ve made so far.
